I’m always interested in what is most important to a couple on their wedding day. Following on from a year with the loss of some loved ones, Julia and Simon were very clear that their priority was family and everything about their day was carefully considered to reflect this.
Simon got ready at his house that him and Julia bought together from a family member at the beginning of this year. They told me about the goals they have for the DIY renos and have been slowly making changes and loving the learning that comes with this. It was special to shoot Simon there and we loved his man cave complete with Man cave Rules that included no crying. Sorry Simon but I’m pretty sure I saw some emotion when your bride walked down that aisle!
The girls got ready at Julia’s parents and my favourite part of the morning was watching Julia’s Grandma hand over her 35 year old garter from her Wedding for Julia to wear that day!
When talking about Julia Simon says that she has a big heart and thinks of others first. This was obviously throughout the day but especially at the reception were I noticed individual thank you notes written to every guest there. The investment of time into thanking their loved ones blew me away and says a lot about who they are.
There are so many great things I could say about Simon and Julia but I will stop there and let the images speak for themselves.
