Extended family photography shoot – Raglan

On my drive over to shoot this beautiful extended family session on the beach in Raglan, it was pouring down, still we made the risky call to hope for the best and commit. Somehow we got our moment as the rain cleared and nature provided epic moody skies and the perfect backdrop for this celebration of three generations of the Kay family.

The grown-up children together with their families had organised this shoot as a special gift for their parents to commemorate their 50th Wedding Anniversary, serendipitously coinciding with their eldest granddaughter leaving home to head off to Uni the next week. Firstly how good does 50 years of marriage look 💛 And isn’t this just the best kind of gift, one to be cherished for generations.

I love to photograph Hamilton families all over the Waikato, but Raglan and our wild west coast beaches are some of my absolute favourites. If you’d like to gift a family portrait, or organise your own extended family photography shoot send me a message here.
