Today is my Birthday, the big 4-0! 🎉 Funny thin

Today is my Birthday, the big 4-0! 🎉 Funny thing is, I don’t quite relate to what I thought 40 would feel like. I used to think it was old, but I still don't feel like a 'grown up' (although I will admit I'm good at adulting!!) 😅 This weekend I'm throwing a ‘Never Grow Up’ party to celebrate this birthday milestone and I cannot wait! Despite the theme, I do love getting older and I'm reminded of something I read recently that resonated with me 'Do not begrudge becoming older, it is a privilege denied to many.'⁠
When I journal in the morning I list things I'm thankful for and today I wrote that I am living my dream life. My family, friends, community and my work - I don't wish for more and I'm aware that this is such a privilege. So I'm taking this moment to say thank you for the support of my business and for choosing to follow me here. I appreciate the connections that I have made on this platform and through the work I get to do that I love so much. Much love and gratefulness x⁠

If you have family coming for Christmas this is the perfect opportunity to get together and book an Extended family shoot!! If you are considering this then think about booking before the end of this month as that week before Christmas gets veryyy popular!!
Bonus, this is an economical way to get your own mini family shoot in two as I capture all of the different groupings !!

One of the best parts of photographing families is seeing familiar faces return, especially when the kids are a few years older! I Loved reconnecting with Nicole’s family recently, despite the busy end-of-weekend energy and Nicole losing her voice, we still captured some cracker family moments for their wall, including a beautiful portrait of each of the kids showing off their very cool personalities!
Heres the lovely message Nicole sent me after she recieved the photos: ⁠
Omg, you nailed it once again. The legend you are. It wasn’t just the kids being crazy this time, it was a mum with no voice and a dad that was tired cause it was the end of the weekend. The photos are my absolute fave! It was the worst time ever getting a photo shoot because its just far to hectic, but I absolutely sooooooo love what you captured and it makes it so worth it when I can see what u managed to get. Thats for being patient with us. You are our favourite photo shooter!!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

About last nights Progressive dinner….Holly and I ate our way around Hamilton visiting five incredible restaurants, drinking wine and cocktails while making some new friends while we were at it!!! 🍷🍴 Holly and I are both foodies so it made sense to celebrate our October birthdays and an epic year so far with a team bonding night based around food ! Thanks to @wine_and_dine_with_jules and @hamiltoncentral as well as @banhmicaphenz @gothenburgrestaurant @scottsepicurean @palate.nz . I am still so full 🤩
